With the rapid development of the LED industry, my country is gradually developing into a major production base and export base for global LED lighting products. A large number of LED lighting companies deliver high-quality LED products to all over the world, and certification is beginning to show its importance. The person in charge of the Green Lighting Shanghai Lighting Exhibition Organizing Committee said: “As the most influential LED exhibition in China in the first half of 2012, we will pay close attention to the latest developments in domestic LED lighting certification standards and will pass the 2012 Shanghai International New Light Source & New Energy Lightin ofessional and international communication platform presented to industry professionals.”

At present, major countries have announced certification standards for LED lighting products: China’s CCC certification, the name of the 3C certification mark is “China Compulsory Certification” (the English name is “China Compulsory Certification”, the English abbreviation is “CCC”), and all products in our country Products sold on the market that are subject to compulsory certification must pass this certification. UL certification in North America is a product safety certification conducted by Underwriter Laboratories Inc., a private safety testing agency in the United States. Products passing and obtaining UL certification are the ticket to enter the North American market. Now UL certification has become one of the most stringent certifications in the world. The European Union’s CE certification is a safety certification mark that is regarded as a passport for manufacturers to open and enter the European market. International CB certification, the CB system is a global mutual recognition system for electrical products established by IECEE. When companies apply for certification in other countries, they can avoid repetitive testing and obtain access to the country’s market.

In addition to the above-mentioned product standard certifications, there are also China CQC voluntary certification, Canadian Standards Association (CSA) product safety certification, German Technical Inspection Corporation (TUV) product safety and quality certification, and the U.S. Federal Communications Commission (FCC) electromagnetic interference Standard certification and other certification standards that may be required.

“With the gradual decline in LED lighting prices, LED products have gradually entered the indoor and outdoor lighting markets, but the uneven quality has also caused problems.” The person in charge of the Green Lighting Shanghai Organizing Committee said: “Compared to Asia, LED Lamps are highly accepted in the European and American markets. However, it is not easy to enter these two markets. The main threshold lies in strict technical and safety standards.” It is reported that a number of mandatory lighting standards will be put on the road starting from 2012. While eliminating inferior products, it will also lead to a reshuffle effect in the LED lighting market. Mainland China and Taiwan – On July 29, 2011, the National Standards Committee officially released the “Performance Requirements for Reflective Self-ballasted LED Lamps”, “Performance Test Methods for Reflective Self-ballasted LED Lamps”, and “Performance Requirements for LED Downlights” Waiting for 4 project establishment standards. Taiwan’s “Standards Bureau of the Ministry of Economic Affairs” has also formulated a number of standards in recent years. Following the LED street light specifications, it promulgated three common LED indoor light standards at the end of 2010, including LEDT8 straight tube lamps, LED floodlights and light steel frames. Lamps (including flat panel lamps), etc.

EU market – Since 2013, the EU has announced the mandatory implementation of human body electromagnetic radiation safety standards. The European Union has set a number of mandatory requirements for LED lighting products, including CE-LVD for testing the low-voltage directive of LED lighting; CE-EMC testing for electromagnetic compatibility directives. Furthermore, if you can obtain the German GS mark and the German Sambo (PAHS + Phthalate + NP) mark, the product price can be higher, and it will be more trusted and popular among consumers.

North American market – The North American market must also meet electrical safety, electromagnetic compatibility and power consumption requirements. The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency announced a new version of the marketing specifications for solid-state lighting fixtures and light source products in October 2011, which is expected to be enforced from April 2012. The LM-80 was seen as the ticket to the US market. For unproven LED packaging and chip factories, future entry into the U.S. market may be hindered.
